Specialty Services

YES Academy provides specialized services for three specific treatment needs within the sociological model of normative systems and group dynamics for the therapeutic and independent living program.

Juvenile sexual issues, juvenile fire setting issues and juveniles who have excessively aggressive behaviors require attention to unique treatment concerns, including accountability and supervision.  YES Academy's program addresses these issues in individual therapy and groups using a relapse prevention model.  Listed are some of the issues and activities used in the treatment and prevention program.

Primary Focus

YES Academy evaluates the appropriateness of each "sexually reactive youth" and "pyro-enthusiastic" youth for admission.

YES Academy teaches life skills and pro-social behavior.  A Life Skills Counselor, or Independent Living Case Manager, are always on duty and works directly with the residents on an individual and group basis. One-on-One Counseling facilitates specialized assessments and life skills instruction. GGI Peer Group sessions with a Master's level facilitator are held daily to keep the youth striving towards his treatment goals.
